For the 11th grade STEM class at the high school, and driven by an interest in future human missions to Mars, I led the development of an autonomous cargo drone for the science fair. We designed and prototyped the drone for potential Mars exploration missions.
As project manager, group leader, and test pilot, I coordinated the design, manufacturing, and integration of the drone’s structural, propulsion, and control systems. The project focused on developing a vehicle capable of both manual and autonomous flight modes, requiring system integration and iterative flight testing.
The prototype successfully demonstrated stable, controlled flight and autonomous navigation, validating the design's feasibility for autonomous aerial operations.
